Job description
As Project Manager your main activities will be to:
- As Project Manager is in charge of the management of project(s) mainly related to EPC or client Project, you will be responsible for
- Manage and monitor the scope, the schedule, the budget, the performances, the HSE (according to a ‘zero accident philosophy’) and nuclear safety aspects, the quality and the profitability of the project
- Manage and drive the project for an optimal solution
- Collaborate actively with your colleagues from other Competence Centers and support departments (procurement, finance, risk management, …), in building a close relationship and working for the same goal
- Set up a project organization in accordance with the needs of the project
- Define the tasks and delegate them amongst the people involved and empower them to carry out the tasks
- Coordinate the lead engineers of each discipline and you verify the adequate integration of the various specialities in the project
- Organise meetings with the Client and develop a partnership approach with the Client
- Take care of the technical and commercial contacts with the Clients and partners, if any, and define commercial actions when appropriate
- Attend steering, project, and purchasing committees (internal and external) and prepare the associated documents to convince the management and the stakeholders
- Manage the project procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing) for packages and insure that the Client’s requirements/targets are met.
Your Profile
- Master degree in engineering
- Good spoken, writing and reading skills in English. Fluent in Dutch or French (both are a “must have”)
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management. A technical background is a plus
- With excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexible, resistant to stress, rigorous and assertive. With the ability to take decisions even in difficult situations. At ease with contacts and have a conflict management ability. Able to convince people
- Dynamic, open-minded and team-spirit oriented. With the ability to work collaboratively and build strong productive relationships across organization
- Well organized, accurate, rigorous, able to work under pressure and focused on meeting deadlines and taking decisions
- Result-oriented and highly motivated to reach your objective, with an eye for meeting the Client’s expectations
- Geographically located in the Brussels HQ with frequent visits to the Belgian NPP sites (Doel and Tihange) and occasional visits outside Belgium.
