    Engineering

Engineering combines technical and administrative knowledge, including aspects such as personnel management, management and more.

    Design & Study

Engineering managers are responsible for a group of engineers or a project that encompasses a range of disciplines (process, electrical, instrumentation, etc.)

Engineers are involved in the three main phases of the design process: preliminary design, detailed design, and multi-disciplinary engineering.

    Process

    • The process engineer is involved in the pre-project, engineering, commissioning, and operational phases.
    • The process engineer works in a design office, and ensures that the design process is compliant with company standards and the quality system.

    Electrical

    • The electrical engineer engages with all types of electrical equipment and the automatic systems that control them, whether on an offshore or onshore site.
    • Responsible for the design of electrical installations (HV/LV), the drafting of calculation notes, and the selection of equipment, the electrical engineer also follows up with suppliers.

    Instrumentation

    • Specialized in the field of measuring instruments (sensors, probes, controls).
Designs and sizes the sensors, measuring devices, actuators and controllers.
    • Once specifications are complete, the  instrumentation engineer sends these to suppliers and cross-checks the suitability of the equipment they suggest against his or her own recommendations.

    Mechanical

    • Specifies the mechanical equipment used on a project, such as rotating machines (turbines, pumps, turbo compressors, and/or centrifuges).
    • Once the design is finalized, the mechanical engineer calculates the impact of the different forces exerted on the machine in order to adapt the material to build the most effective machine possible.
    • Identifies production non-conformities in these machines.
    • In the field, mechanical engineers ensure that mechanical equipment is kept in good condition and is used in optimal ways.

    Telecommunications

    • Develops computer programs, electronic components, or circuits for integration into a telecommunications system.
    • Installs, manages, and ensures the optimization of company networks.
    • Works on all means of communicating, linking devices to allow the transmission of signals, sounds, images, data, information, written texts, verbal communication…

HVAC - Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning

    • Acts as a project manager for the implementation of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
    • Works on installation and the resolution of any malfunctions.
    • Takes charge of projects from analysis to the proposal of technical solutions, including the drafting of specifications.

    Piping

    • Carries out the technical studies necessary to validate the mechanical resistance of a piping network. This allows for the proper circulation of fluids.
    • Designs piping diagrams according to customer specifications.

    Welding

    • Decides on the best welding pattern and thicknesses for a structure.
    • Responsible for the design of the welding schedule and collaborates directly with other disciplines.
    • The underwater welding engineer is subject to different constraints than an onshore welding engineer (increased corrosion of pipes and pipelines).

    Structure

    • Designs steel structures, the skeleton of the on- or offshore construction.
    • Responsible for ensuring the stability of the structure according to specific criteria and the architect’s plans.
    • Carries out multiple design studies, such as structural calculations and dimensioning.

    Civil

    • Civil engineering covers all techniques related to civil construction.
    • Civil engineers are involved in the design, construction, operation and rehabilitation of building and infrastructure works.
    • Responsible for managing these structures in order to meet the needs of the company they work for, while ensuring public safety and environmental protection.

    Material

    • Materials Engineers select, process and test materials for the contruction and development of products according to environmental data, calculations and diverse analyses.
    • These engineers can specialize in a wide range of fields such as painting, coating & corrosion, piping materials, new materials, metallic and non metallic materials, etc.

    Subsea

    • Writes the installation procedures for elements such as ROV, flowline and umbilical interfaces, spools, jumpers, and flying leads.
    • Participates in on site installation operations, assisting lead engineers and following up on key issues.
